Nanango Theatre Company president Tracy Clark and treasurer Lynda Archdall will both be playing Vicar Of Dibley Geraldine Granger on alternate nights in the NTC’s up-coming April production<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Nanango Theatre Company has a new executive team for 2016, and its first production for the year will debut at the end of April.<\/p>\n

At the amateur theatrical group’s Annual General Meeting last month, Tracy Clark was elected as president; Linda Hall as vice-president; Peter Ainslie as secretary; and Lynda Archdall as treasurer.<\/p>\n

On April 29 the new team will be lifting the curtain on “Two Plays – Dibley Live and Big Cats”, an evening of two short plays that should offer something for everyone.<\/p>\n

The first is a live version of the popular British TV comedy The Vicar Of Dibley, adapted for the stage.<\/p>\n

Tracy Clark and Lynda Archdall will both be playing Vicar Geraldine Granger on alternate nights, but other popular characters like dotty Verger Alice Tinker, glum Parish Council chairman David Horton, Hugo Horton, Owen Newitt and Frank Pickle will also be putting in appearances.<\/p>\n

The second play – “Big Cats” – is gentle story acted with warmth and tenderness.<\/p>\n

It focuses on Lily, who has spent all her married life in the same two-up, two-down council house. Although widowed, her husband Joe is very real to her and Lily’s life continues as though he were still alive.<\/p>\n

“Two Plays – Dibley Live and Big Cats” will have a short season of four performances on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, and again the following Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The plays will be performed at the NTC Playhouse near the corner of Elk and George Streets, Nanango, and all performances will start at 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

Tickets can be booked in advance at the Nanango Visitor Information Centre in Henry Street, or by phoning the Centre on (07) 4189-9446.<\/p>\n

Any unsold tickets will be available at the Playhouse on the night.<\/p>\n
