A “monster truck” was a new attraction at the 2016 Murgon Show, taking patrons for rides on Friday night and all day Saturday.<\/p>\n

Show Society volunteer Trevor Williams said the monster truck had been a highlight of the 92nd Murgon Show, with many people snapping photos of it.<\/p>\n

He said the show had been quiet in the morning “which is usual” but crowd numbers picked up as the day went on.<\/p>\n

The dog show was well-supported with more than 400 entries.<\/p>\n

He said pavilion entries were down a little, but equestrian, prime cattle and stud beef attracted good numbers.<\/p>\n

For the first time in many years, there was a dairy cattle section at Murgon, which attracted a “reasonable turnout”.<\/p>\n

The rodeo in the evening was as popular as ever, as was the giant fireworks display which began during a pause in the rodeo.<\/p>\n
