South Burnett CTC invited candidates at the upcoming South Burnett council election to take time off their campaigns on Friday to learn more about the not-for-profit organisation.<\/p>\n

Not all candidates accepted the invitation, but those that did piled into a bus to be ferried around CTC sites in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai and Murgon.<\/p>\n

At CTC’s headquarters at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre, the candidates received an overview of the organisation’s operations, which range from disability services and community housing to youth and family services and childcare.<\/p>\n

CTC sites visited included Nanango Child Care Centre, Partners In Foster Care in Wondai and The Gumnut Place and Connections in Murgon.<\/p>\n

Division 3 candidate Abigail Andersson told southburnett.com.au<\/strong> she knew some of the things that South Burnett CTC did as she had friends who worked for the organisation, but the bus trip had been a good opportunity to learn more about the incredible work the not-for-profit organisation does in the community.<\/p>\n
