February 19, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first round of this year’s Men’s Basketball competition was played at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium last Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

There won’t be a women’s competition this year due to inadequate numbers, but there will be five A-grade and six B-grade sides battling it out in the men’s competition.<\/p>\n

This season will also have a new game format.<\/p>\n

Instead of having a spare team play at the end of the night – the format used last year – one team will have a double header every six weeks.<\/p>\n

This means that once every six weeks, one team will play two games in the night.<\/p>\n

After five weeks, each team will have played six times and each team would have done bench duty three times, and the cycle will begin all over again.<\/p>\n
