The South Burnett XI – better known these days as the “Bush Pigs” – will be taking on Gympie in the final of the Goodchild Shield competition on Sunday at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

South Burnett have earned the right to host the final in Kingaroy despite a narrow loss to Gympie in their last game, played at Gympie.<\/p>\n

Hopefully for local fans, the home ground advantage will help the South Burnett bring home the shield.<\/p>\n

The Bush Pigs won Games 1 and 2 in the four-way series, downing Fraser Coast and Bundaberg in big performances.<\/p>\n

The last time the South Burnett won the Goodchild Shield was in 2o13 when they defeated Bundaberg.<\/p>\n
