Charges against a man who was extradited from Tasmania were mentioned briefly in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old Kingaroy man faces charges of rape, fraud, entering a dwelling, receiving tainted property and failing to appear.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy detectives flew to Tasmania to escort the man back to the South Burnett last week.<\/p>\n

The charges date to 2011 and 2012.<\/p>\n

Police Prosecutor Sgt Wayne Bushell said a brief of evidence had been prepared in relation to the rape charge before the man failed to appear.<\/p>\n

Defence solicitor Chris Campbell said there would be no application for bail at the moment.<\/p>\n

The rape charge was adjourned to March 14 for committal to the District Court, and the other charges were adjourned for mention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
