Collectors like Pauline Hansen from Brisbane came to the Nanango High School Hall last year to browse through thousands of stamps at the Nanango Stamp Club’s annual Stamp Fair<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

February 2, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Nanango Stamp Club is gearing up for its biggest day of the year on Saturday, February 6.<\/p>\n

The club will be hosting its 22nd Stamp Fair at the Nanango State High School Hall in Elk Street.<\/p>\n

It expect its annual event will draw keen stamp collectors from all over south-east Queensland, the same as it does every year.<\/p>\n

The day will run from 9:00am to 4:00pm and promises to be heaven for the region’s stamp collectors as well as visitors.<\/p>\n

Among other things, it will feature a philatelic auction, a cent auction and a bargain table.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be lots of displays to delight any true philatelist’s heart, along with a record number of visiting professional stamp dealers.<\/p>\n

Seventeen other stamp clubs have also signalled they’ll be attending.<\/p>\n

Nanango Stamp Club President Graham Coombe said he was very excited about this year’s get-together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“In the last year we’ve seen significant growth in our club’s membership,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Previous long-time members have re-joined after some years away, and most of our current members are now actively participating in club activities and have found a renewed enthusiasm in building their stamp collections.<\/p>\n

“We’ve also received significant support from many quarters, including sponsorship from the Heritage Community Branch in Nanango and a grant from the South Burnett Regional Council to support our new Schools Stamps Education Program and the annual Stamp Fair.<\/p>\n

“2016 looks like being a great year for the club, and I hope all past and present stamp collectors come visit us on Saturday for a great day out with fellow enthusiasts.”<\/p>\n

Admission to the Stamp Fair is free and refreshments will be available.<\/p>\n
