Former Wondai Art Gallery acquisitive art prize winner June McCotter<\/strong> is returning to the galley in November.<\/p>\n

June’s works are landscapes that also examine how life mirrors nature\u2019s cycles, moving through times of plenty and drought.<\/p>\n

She will be accompanied by two other artists, also from the Sunshine Coast.<\/p>\n

Sarah Lawson<\/strong> – a descendant of the famous poet Henry Lawson – comes from an artistic background, with both parents being artists, but she has more than 20 years’ experience in her own right. She works in oils, acrylics and silk.<\/p>\n

Patti Henderson<\/strong>, from Palmwoods, works in pencil, charcoal, watercolour, spinning, weaving and macram\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The fourth featured artist is Lyla McLaren<\/strong>, a driller\u2019s cook who loves making cards.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of my cards are made from inserts of beer cartons. The boys love them. They have become standard issue on the rig. I also paint seascapes when I am on leave,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The grandchildren of the exhibiting artists will be featured in Kidz Korner.<\/p>\n
