Police are working to identify the driver of a car which allegedly sped away at high speed from a patrol in the Kingaroy CBD on Australia Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said a police patrol attempted to pull over the vehicle in Kingaroy Street about 9:00pm but it sped away through CBD streets.<\/p>\n

“Police did not pursue,” Snr Sgt Frank said.<\/p>\n

Some time later the vehicle was located by police in Rae Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

A 22-year-old woman told police she had just been driving the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank sad the woman recorded a positive breath test of .066 BAC.<\/p>\n

“Further inquiries are being undertaken in regards to who was driving the vehicle at the earlier time,” Snr Sgt Frank said.<\/p>\n

Routine checks identified an alleged disqualified driver after police stopped a vehicle in Haly Street, Kingaroy, last Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 20-year-old Kingaroy man has been issued with a notice to appear in court.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police arrested a 20-year-old woman at 1:00am on Saturday in Markwell Street, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The woman was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants relating to fraud and bail matters.<\/p>\n

She was charged and re-released on bail to appear in court in February.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 22-year-old\u00a0 Kingaroy man has been charged with public nuisance and public urination after an incident outside a Kingaroy hotel at 1:00am on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police were called to the hotel after reports a man was yelling and swearing.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

No one was injured when a Holden sedan and a LandCruiser ute collided at the corner of Walter Street and River Road in Kingaroy about midnight on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the vehicles was badly damaged and a driver was issued with a ticket for failing to give way.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police were called to a fight inside a Kingaroy hotel about 1:00am on Sunday which allegedly involved a number of men and women.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged with public nuisance.<\/p>\n

A 30-year-old woman was issued with a notice to appear in court for obstructing police.<\/p>\n

A 21-year-old man was charged with public nuisance, violent behaviour and obstructing police.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 20-year-old Kingaroy man was arrested and charged with disqualified driving after police stopped a vehicle in Alford Street, Kingaroy, at 11:30am on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Two young men will face charges after an incident in Haly Street, Kingaroy, about 7:00pm on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 15-year-old youth has been issued with a notice to appear in court to face charges of trespass, possessing cannabis and possessing drug utensils.<\/p>\n

A 23-year-old man will appear in court charged with trespassing.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police are reviewing CCTV footage after a vandalism incident at Kingaroy State High School last weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said the vandals climbed a railing near a toilet block before upturning rubbish bins and spreading paper towels from dispensers over a verandah.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 34-year-old woman P-Plate driver breath-tested in Knight Street, Kingaroy, at 2:00pm on Australia Day allegedly blew .035.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The limit for P-Plate drivers is zero.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police arrested a man wanted on a return-to-prison warrant in Kingaroy Street about 3:30pm on Tuesday. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The man was wanted for breaching his parole conditions.<\/p>\n

A 31-year-old man was also arrested on a return-to-prison warrant at 9:00pm on Wednesday night in Youngman Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At 9:30pm on Australia Day, police were called to a Kingaroy hotel after reports of a fight between various people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 21-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with public nuisance.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said other men were located who were extremely intoxicated.<\/p>\n

One man was issued with an infringement notice for alcohol-related offences and another was drunk-diverted because of a high level of intoxication.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said the men had been refused entry to the hotel because of their intoxication.<\/p>\n

Police will be reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel in regards to the incident and there was a possibility more people may be charged.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 26-year-old man was arrested by police on Wednesday afternoon in the car park at Kingaroy Shoppingworld.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He has been charged with public nuisance, trespassing and possessing dangerous drugs (cannabis).<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So far in 2016, there has been 21 fatalities on Queensland roads. This compares with 16 at the same time in 2015, and 18 in 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
