Kingaroy teenager Holly Ferling will make her debut tomorrow with the Queensland Fire when they take on South Australia in a T20 cricket match at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

The 16-year-old fast bowler, who helped Kingaroy RSL to their South Burnett competition win last season, has had an exciting 12 months.<\/p>\n

In March, she was selected for the Australian Under 21 women\u2019s side that toured New Zealand.<\/p>\n

In April, she made history by becoming the first woman to win the Ken Mackay Trophy for Queensland Junior Cricketer of the Year.<\/p>\n

In August, she was invited to join a training camp in Sri Lanka with Australia\u2019s national women\u2019s cricket team, the Southern Stars.<\/p>\n

The Fire will also be playing a 50-over match against South Australia on Saturday followed by another T20 match on Sunday.<\/p>\n

They will be captained by Jodie Fields,fresh from leading the Australian women’s side to a World Twenty20 championship victory in Sri Lanka last weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
