Graham House is bringing the six-week “Circle of Security” parenting program to Murgon and Kingaroy later this year.<\/p>\n

The program is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children.<\/p>\n

Research shows secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively.<\/p>\n

The courses, which have been funded by the Department of Communities, aim to help parents understand their children’s emotional world and needs.<\/p>\n

“Circle of Security” also aims to show parents how important it is to help their children deal effectively with their emotions and build confidence and self-esteem.<\/p>\n

The sessions are friendly and casual but closed, which means it is essential to register before attending Week 1.<\/p>\n

At Murgon, the “Circle of Security” program will run from 9:30am to 11:30am on Thursdays from February 25 to March 31 at Graham House Community Centre, 21 Taylor Street.<\/p>\n

In Kingaroy, the program will run from 9:30am to 11:30am on Thursdays from May 5 to June 9 at the 1913 Council Chambers in Edward Street.<\/p>\n
