October 8, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2nd annual “King Of Roy” skateboarding competition in Kingaroy was a big success on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Organised by the South Burnett PCYC, the competition attracted some of the best local riders who were judged on their efforts by professional skateboarder and coach Andreas Schwitter, from Noosa Heads.<\/p>\n

Sgt Michael Eadie, from the South Burnett PCYC, congratulated all the competitors for taking part.<\/p>\n

Skateboarders are happy with the news that a skate park is to be built in Murgon, but Sgt Eadie said there was some more good news likely to happen before Christmas.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett PCYC has been successful in a grant application to acquire a mobile skatepark which can be erected on tennis courts or in car parks.<\/p>\n

They will take this to smaller centres throughout the South, Central and North Burnett to host skating clinics, competitions and demonstrations.<\/p>\n
