The Yarraman Historical Society’s regular supporters’ dinner took on a festive feel on Friday night, complete with a visit from Santa Claus.<\/p>\n

The Society meets at Heritage House every month – except December and January – to enjoy each other’s company and raise funds.<\/p>\n

President Helene Johnson had some good news for members on Friday … the Society now has enough money put aside to paint the front of the historic two-storey wooden building.<\/p>\n

The former convent was erected in 1945 and was purchased by the Historical Society in 1996.<\/p>\n

It now houses an extensive museum as well as meeting areas and the studios of Wild Horse radio.<\/p>\n

Funds from the monthly dinners help with the upkeep costs.<\/p>\n
