Kingaroy-based “Pathway 2 Hope” is on the move … across the street into bigger and better premises.<\/p>\n

Founder Kaye Hibbs said it was a “new dawn” for the charity shop which offers its customers an ear to listen to and a hug (if needed) as well as a wide range of secondhand goods.<\/p>\n

Pathway 2 Hope’s first shop and drop-in centre was in Haly Street; it then shifted to 30 King Street, and from next Monday it will be officially operating out of 25 King Street.<\/p>\n

Kaye and two other volunteers are kept busy helping customers and accepting donations.<\/p>\n

They plan to open the shop daily – at least for the stressful Christmas season.\u00a0 Opening hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:00pm and weekends 8:00am-1:00pm.<\/p>\n

The shop has books, clothing, toys, furniture, kitchen goods etc all at reasonable prices.<\/p>\n

“It is a charity shop and we put emphasis into the meaning of charity,” Kaye said.<\/p>\n

Kaye is always on the lookout for more volunteers to help at the shop, and donations to add to the items for sale.<\/p>\n

Anyone with donations to make is invited to drive around the back of the new store (the entrance is from the O’Neill Square carpark) where they can be dropped off during opening hours.<\/p>\n
