The Endeavour Foundation’s Kingaroy Kitchen has been selected as the lucky recipient of a recent unusual fundraising effort.<\/p>\n

Proston couple Don and Barbara Madden’s “marathon effort” in New York means Endeavour is now $5200 better off.<\/p>\n

Don and Barb, from Smithfield Feedlot, ran in the New York marathon earlier this month<\/p>\n

They decided to turn their trip into an opportunity to support a South Burnett not-for-profit organisation by seeking sponsorship.<\/p>\n

Businesses came on board to support the novel idea. The couple asked local not-for-profits to apply and explain in 500 words why they needed the money.<\/p>\n

This led to Endeavour being selected.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe assistance this organisation provides to people with disabilities is truly remarkable,\u201d Barb told the Beef Central website<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
