Meandu mine workers at Tarong wore special pink high-vis safety shirts yesterday in aid of breast cancer awareness<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

More than 190 workers at the Meandu Mine swapped their yellow safety shirts for a stylish pink yesterday … all in aid of breast cancer awareness.<\/p>\n

The miners – employed by Thiess and Stanwell – purchased the high-visibility shirts to help raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation.<\/p>\n

Various shifts will be wearing the pink shirts over the next few days.<\/p>\n

A Stanwell spokesman said this was one of the biggest-ever breast cancer awareness events held in the South Burnett. It was also one of the biggest shows of support by any mine in Australia.<\/p>\n

The pink shirts were very popular, especially among the female employees, and are now expected to become collectors’ items!<\/p>\n
