November 4, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Firefighters were called to the Talk Realty real estate agency in Margaret Street, Yarraman, on Tuesday afternoon after reports of a strong smell of smoke in the building.<\/p>\n

Two urban fire units arrived at the premises at 4:12pm.<\/p>\n

A fire brigade spokesman said there was no visible sign of fire, however firefighters removed a manhole cover to inspect the roof cavity.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were still on the scene at 4:45pm making sure there were no hotspots in the roof.<\/p>\n

The scare has been a “baptism of fire” for new owners Judy and David Robison, who only took over the business on November 1.<\/p>\n

Later this afternoon Mrs Robison confirmed no signs of fire had been detected.<\/p>\n

She believed a malfunctioning smoke alarm may have been the cause of the problem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
