Kingaroy RSL’s Wayne Kelly finished 55 not out in Saturday’s match against the Wondai Wolves<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Opener Wayne Kelly led the way with the bat at Wondai to secure a victory for Kingaroy RSL Services in the A Grade cricket match played against the Wolves on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy batted first and were all out for 170.<\/p>\n

Kelly ran out of partners, finishing 55 not out.<\/p>\n

Next best of the Kingaroy RSL batsmen were Luke Medcalf (37) and Nathan Bain (15).<\/p>\n

Best of the Wondai bowlers were Clayton Graham (4\/27) and Robert Robarts (2\/26).<\/p>\n

In reply, Wondai were all out for 104.<\/p>\n

Derek Sander (35) and Robert Robarts (22) both made good starts.<\/p>\n

Darren Geiger (3\/5 off six overs) and Mark Schmidt (3\/28 off nine overs) ripped through the Wondai attack.<\/p>\n

RSL won by 66 runs.<\/p>\n

In the other A Grade game, Nanango Scorpions hosted the unbeaten Murgon Crusaders.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Crusaders won the toss and batted first, finishing 6\/207 off their 45 overs.<\/p>\n

Graham Brown (74) and Lehman Brunjes (35) kept the scoreboard ticking over.<\/p>\n

Best of the Nanango bowlers were Dean Olzard (2\/35 off nine overs) and Brendan Weil (2\/43 off seven overs).<\/p>\n

In reply, Nanango were all out for 149 in the 37th over.<\/p>\n

Glen Doyle (33) and Michael “Freddy” Davies (20) added some valuable runs.<\/p>\n

Best of the Murgon Crusaders were Ashley Hankinson (2\/22 off seven overs), Graham Brown (2\/25 off nine overs) and Jamian Currin (2\/45 off seven overs).<\/p>\n

In B Grade, Nanango Scorpions took on Kingaroy RSL Services at Nanango.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingaroy batted first, making 8\/252 off their 40 overs.<\/p>\n

Louis Fairbairn (76) and Brian Walters (59) were best with the bat.<\/p>\n

Nick Scherger, Blake Calvert\u00a0 and Finn Humphries took two wickets apiece.<\/p>\n

In reply, Nanango were all out for 58 in 19 overs.<\/p>\n

Gavin Jones (14) and Nick Scherger (12) posted the best scores.<\/p>\n

Best of the Kingaroy bowlers were Karl Freeman (3\/10) and Adrian Webster (2\/5).<\/p>\n

Cherbourg travelled to Kumbia to take on the Rattlers in B Grade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kumbia won the toss and batted first, setting a target of 149.<\/p>\n

Top scorers were Ryan Kelly\u00a0 (36) and Shane Laherty (23).<\/p>\n

Nev Kratzmann was the best of the Cherbourg bowlers, taking 2\/13 off three overs.<\/p>\n

In reply, Cherbourg were all out for 116.<\/p>\n

David Warner finished 27 not out while Nev Kratzmann added 23 runs.<\/p>\n

Kumbia’s Warren Cross took five wickets for just 24 runs off eight overs.<\/p>\n

Kumbia won by 33 runs.<\/p>\n

In the third B Grade game played on Saturday, Warriors faced Murgon Diggers in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Warriors batted first and finished with 7\/209 from their 40 overs.<\/p>\n

Best batsmen were Jackson Hay (50), Paul Clegg (43) and Luke Smith (23 not out).<\/p>\n

Best of the Diggers’ bowlers were Edward Allcock (2\/22 from eight overs) and James Brimblecombe (2\/40 from five overs).<\/p>\n

In reply, Murgon overhauled the target in the 30th over with the loss of just four wickets.<\/p>\n

Diggers finished with 217.<\/p>\n

Top scorers were Rodney Anderson (76), Nathan Nixon (50 not out) and John Kapernick (32).<\/p>\n

Dane Bloomfield was the pick of the Warriors’ bowlers, taking 2\/35 off eight overs.<\/p>\n

Diggers won by six wickets in a high-scoring game.<\/p>\n
