But last Saturday\u2019s tournament was a real battle. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Three teams from each club clashed over two games, each of twelve ends.<\/p>\n<p>Two points were allocated for each end won and five points for each game won and Nanango, with a home ground advantage, ultimately took out the honours.<\/p>\n<p>The formidable combination of Bob Hammond, Delvin Powys and skip Warren Arthur topped the scoreboard with 44 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1st: Bob Hammond, Delvin Powys and Warren Arthur &#8211; 44pts<\/li>\n<li>2nd: Bev and Kev Profke and Helene Johnson &#8211; 40pts<\/li>\n<li>3rd: Keith Carroll, Sue Tucker and Henry Bliesner &#8211; 25pts<\/li>\n<li>Evelyn Jensen, Allan Ward and Brian Havell &#8211; 22pts<\/li>\n<li>Heather Carr, Trevor George and Allan Carr &#8211; 22pts<\/li>\n<li>Chris McLeod, Nev Lawrence and Neil Johnston &#8211; 18pts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>On Nanango&#8217;s Blackboard:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tue, Oct 20: Ladies RoseBowl<\/li>\n<li>Wed, Oct 21: Men\u2019s Social (Mufti) 12:30pm start<\/li>\n<li>Fri, Oct 23: Scroungers 3:00pm<\/li>\n<li>Sat, Oct 24: Self Selected Triples &#8211; Nanango versus Yarraman at Yarraman, 12:00 noon start<\/li>\n<li>Sun, Oct 25: Burnett Men\u2019s President and Patrons Day at Biggenden<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Kingaroy News<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Consistancy Singles final was played at Kingaroy Bowls Club on Thursday between Mark Williams and Danny Holligan over 30 ends.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With both players playing great bowls. it was Danny Holligan who came out on top 153-137.<\/p>\n<p>The object of Consistancy Singles is to draw as close to the jack as possible and score points as follows: 4 points for the closest bowl, 3 points for the next closest, 2 points for the next and 1 point for the fourth closest.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday saw the monthly trip by Nanango Bowls club members to Kingaroy to play in the Triples Trophy day.<\/p>\n<p>With a light shower to start with and threatening skies, 36 bowlers hit the greens with conditions of play 5 points for a win and 1 point for each end won.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1st: Lew Sanders, Annette O&#8217;Brian and Greg Shultz (19) def. They played a team from Bongaree and had a most enjoyable day.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, in Star of the Green, Marg Worrall defeated Ernie Herbert in a game that had the spectators enthralled.
