Here\u2019s the fishing report for Boondooma and Bjelke-Petersen dams for the week ending Monday, October 12:<\/p>\n

  • Dam Level = 63 per cent<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Hot Bites tail spinners are now available. The tail spinners are working really well on both Bass and Golden Perch.<\/p>\n

    We are getting good reports of Golden Perch up to 55cm, and with good weights, also.<\/p>\n

    Bass schools are harder to find but when you do the fishing is fun.<\/p>\n

    There are a lot of undersized fish but there are also some really big Bass amongst them.<\/p>\n

    Spinner baits and hard body lures also worked well this week.<\/p>\n

    And – finally – we are getting reports about redclaw. We have had some people getting them, with a good size ones,\u00a0 too.<\/p>\n

    Cindy and Billy Schloss, from Team\u00a0Whitewater Marine, were named the inaugural Bluefin B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Teams Champions at Boondooma Dam on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The couple won a $32,000 Bluefin Boat powered by a Evinrude E-tec 50hp motor.<\/p>\n

    In second place were current Australian champion Steve Kanowski and Craig Simmons, from team Toray Tennessee.<\/p>\n

    Patrick Conduit and Brett Renz, from Team In A Spin, were third.<\/p>\n

      Another great week for fishing! The fish have been on the bite for another solid week with reports of Golden Perch and Bass biting within the same areas.<\/p>\n

      Some eel-tailed catties have been caught and one undersized Murray Cod was caught over the long weekend with a size of 45cm!<\/p>\n

      Redclaw are slowly coming back on with a report of several being caught in people’s pots overnight. They’re not in huge numbers yet, but possibly soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
