Nanango historian and author Liz Caffery was a special guest speaker at the convention<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Delegates from the six Toastmasters clubs in the Wide Bay area gathered near Kingaroy on Saturday for their annual Area Conference.<\/p>\n

It is the first time in five years the South Burnett has hosted the Area 28 convention.<\/p>\n

Each club also nominated members, who had won at club level, to take part on the four competitions held on the day.<\/p>\n

These included short talks on a topic, and impromptu speech and evaluation of a speech.<\/p>\n

The conference was held\u00a0in a converted machinery shed at the “Hopevale” farm.<\/p>\n
