A man has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after a stationwagon carrying six people left the road and crashed into a tree north of Jandowae early on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 58-year-old Jandowae man suffered head and suspected spinal injuries after the car he was a passenger in swerved to avoid a kangaroo and rolled about 2:00am on the Jandowae Connection Road.<\/p>\n

He had to be cut free from the vehicle and was then transported to Jandowae Hospital where he was picked up by the Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter.<\/p>\n

A CareFlight spokesperson said the man was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition.<\/p>\n

The other occupants of the vehicle were treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics.<\/p>\n

The 58-year-old female driver from Jandowae, a 20-year-old Jandowae woman, and a 19-year-old Brigalow man were taken to Jandowae Hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n

At 8:00am, the CareFlight helicopter was called back to Jandowae Hospital to airlift the Brigalow teenager to Toowoomba Hospital. He travelled in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

Two children under the age of 10 were not physically injured.<\/p>\n

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.<\/p>\n
