Firefighters have contained a grass fire burning near the the Gayndah-Hivesville Road and the Abbeywood-Gayndah Road at Abbeywood.<\/p>\n

The incident was reported about 12:20pm on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The fire is still burning and fire crews are on the scene, but it is currently posing no threat to property.<\/p>\n

There are also fires burning at Monogorilby Road, Monogorilby, and near Okeden Byanda Road and Foxs Road at Speedwell but these are also not posing a threat to property at present.<\/p>\n

Fire crew are also attending a large permitted burn on the Maidenwell-Upper Yarraman Road at Maidenwell.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Wednesday, rural and urban fire crews were called to a grass fire which had damaged a shed at Ellesmere.<\/p>\n

Firefighters saved the contents of the shed and stopped the grass fire spreading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
