Here\u2019s the fishing report for Boondooma and Bjelke-Petersen dams for the week ending Monday, October 5:<\/p>\n

Boondooma Dam<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  • Dam Level = 63.5 per cent<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    It’s been another good week on the water. All methods of fishing are working.<\/p>\n

    If you want to troll, try about 30ft of water with a 15-19ft hard body lure.<\/p>\n

    Flicking around the points, like Pelican Point, in around 15-20ft of water using tail spinners.<\/p>\n

    In the river arms, slow rolled vibe\/mask is working the best and, of course, the bait fisho is catching their share of fish as well.<\/p>\n

    The Bass are still firing this week and people have started catching Bass on the troll.<\/p>\n

    This week the Barber\u2019s Pole was the place to be, flicking vibes or pulses with fish around the 40cm about average.<\/p>\n

    Redclaw are still hit and miss with some people getting some nice big ones while others have been getting none at all.<\/p>\n

    Don\u2019t forget Sandy Creek is a no boating zone, and there is a 6 knot or no wash area in front of the camp.<\/p>\n

      It’s been a busy week for fisherman. All the storms we have had have really brought the fish on the bite, especially in the afternoons.<\/p>\n

      Yabbies\/shrimp were the bait of choice. Lipless crankbaits with a mix of dark tops and light bottoms really performed, catching plenty of Bass averaging 40cm with numbers of Golden Perch on the side.<\/p>\n

      Red Claw have been caught in traps over the week with the biggest number 22 in one trap.<\/p>\n

      They’re still in the mud but with the weather heating up, they should be coming out for this year\u2019s season any time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
