{"id":122314,"date":"2015-09-29T00:58:10","date_gmt":"2015-09-28T14:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=122314"},"modified":"2020-11-16T13:43:24","modified_gmt":"2020-11-16T03:43:24","slug":"bank-releases-risky-postcodes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2015\/09\/29\/bank-releases-risky-postcodes\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank Releases &#8216;Risky&#8217; Postcodes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>September 28, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The National Australia Bank has released lists of postcodes where it judges people are most likely to default on mortgages &#8211; and despite rumours to the contrary &#8211; there are no South Burnett towns amongst them.<\/p>\n<p>In its &#8220;Category A&#8221; restricted postcodes,\u00a0 the bank has ruled that home buyers must come up with at least 30 per cent of the purchase price.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NAB&#8217;s Queensland Category A postcodes are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4210 &#8211; <\/strong>Maudsland, Guanaba, Wongawallan, Studio Village, Oxenford (Gold Coast hinterland)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4211 &#8211; <\/strong>Beechmont, Gaven, Nerang, Pacific Pines (and surrounding towns)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4680 &#8211; <\/strong>Gladstone (and surrounding towns), Heron Island<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4717 &#8211; <\/strong>Blackwater<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4720 &#8211; <\/strong>Emerald, Yamala<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4740 &#8211; <\/strong>Mackay (and surrounding towns)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4743 &#8211; <\/strong>Suttor, Glenden (west of Mackay)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4744 &#8211; <\/strong>Moranbah<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4745 &#8211; <\/strong>Dysart<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4746 &#8211; <\/strong>Middlemount, May Downs<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4805 &#8211; <\/strong>Bowen (and surrounding towns)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And in the NAB&#8217;s &#8220;Category B&#8221;, where buyers must find at least 20 per cent deposit, there is only one postcode, 4000, ie. the Brisbane CBD.<\/p>\n<p>The largest number of &#8220;Category A&#8221; postcodes listed by the NAB are in South Australia, while NSW has the largest number of &#8220;Category B&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAB has released lists of postcodes where it judges people are most likely to default on mortgages<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":122315,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[5,3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
