August 27, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual South Burnett Interschool Equestrian Competition was held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds during Catholic Education Week in July and attracted 75 riders from schools across the region.<\/p>\n

The event was run by St Mary\u2019s Catholic College.<\/p>\n

The SB Equestrian Event featured the usual blue, red, white and green sashes for winners in all ages from Prep to Year 12.<\/p>\n

Excellent weather combined with a friendly yet competitive high spirits ensure that all riders were able to enjoy the day.<\/p>\n

Events included dressage, show jumping, hacking, and speed events such as barrel racing, diamond flag race, bending, and keyhole race.<\/p>\n

For many riders, the day was a good preparation for the next level of competition at the Fraser Coast Competition to be held in mid-August.<\/p>\n

This year Aggregate Trophy went to the Goomeri State School, who have been successful with this award for several years in succession.<\/p>\n

Age Champions and Reserve Age Champions were also awarded in all age groups.<\/p>\n
