Formula 500s will be returning to Kingaroy Speedway on Saturday night after a small rejig to the weekend’s original program.<\/p>\n

It’s been about five years since these three-quarter midgets have been seen at the track.<\/p>\n

The massive two-night show features the 28th running of the Queensland Street Sedan Title.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is only the sixth time that the Title has been held in Kingaroy, and in a departure from tradition it is being run at the start of the speedway season.<\/p>\n

A field of 35 drivers is expected to take part, competing for the Keith Harm Trophy named after the Harm family patriarch and stalwart of South Burnett speedway who died in July last year.<\/p>\n

The weekend of racing will also include the South Burnett Shootout for Junior Sedans<\/strong> and the 4 Cylinder Sedans Gold Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday night, Modified Productions<\/strong> will hit the track, including newly crowned Queensland Champion Mark Carlin, from Victoria, and former Queensland champions Todd Doyle and Aidan Raymont.<\/p>\n

Racing starts at 5:00pm on Saturday night and 4:00pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n

NB. If you also hear speedway cars at the track on Friday night, don’t worry … it’s a practice session. The practice will start at 7:00pm and finish at 10:00pm. Admission for spectators will be free on the Friday night only.<\/em><\/p>\n
