Two football teams from the South Burnett are heading off the World Cup … no, not THAT World Cup, the Joeys Mini World Cup in Inverell.<\/p>\n

A boys U17 team will be playing as “Brazil” while an Open girls team will be “Japan”.<\/p>\n

The U17 team is made up of players from Wests, Gunners and Barambah and has been sponsored by Ken Mills Toyota and Subway.<\/p>\n

The teams will leave for NSW next Sunday and will be camping at Copeton Dam during the carnival.<\/p>\n

The Mini World Cup will get underway on September 28 and will run until October 2.<\/p>\n

It features teams from across Australia, as well as Germany.<\/p>\n

About a dozen teams are expected to nominate in age division .<\/p>\n

Quarter and semi-finals will be played on October 1, and finals on October 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
