The Taromeo Country Music Club and the Blackbutt community have been left devastated by the cruel theft of more than $13,000 worth of music equipment and sound gear from the Blackbutt Memorial Hall.<\/p>\n

Acting Senior Constable Justin Drier, from Blackbutt police, said the equipment went missing sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday this week.<\/p>\n

“Some of the equipment had been left set up after the Talent Quest during Bloomin’ Beautiful,” he said.<\/p>\n

Items taken include a movie projector and projector mount, an electronic screen, a Pioneer amplifier and three Pioneer speakers.<\/p>\n

The thieves also targeted the Taromeo Country Music Club, taking guitars and guitar amps, microphones, guitar leads and amplifier leads stored by the club at the hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“They even took some tamborines!” Acting Snr Const Drier said.<\/p>\n

One of the items stolen was heavy which leads police to suspect there was probably more than one person involved in the thefts.<\/p>\n

A small quantity of alcohol was also taken from a fridge.<\/p>\n

Police forensic officers have examined the building but have found no signs of forced entry.<\/p>\n

Acting Snr Const Drier said police were now checking CCTV footage from nearby shops.<\/p>\n
