The first campers settled in at Nanango Showgrounds last Monday to make sure they had the best spots for the 2015 Heritage Nanango Country Muster.<\/p>\n

By the time the event was officially opened at noon on Friday, there were about 650 caravans and campervans packed into the showgrounds – with more rolling through the gates.<\/p>\n

The four-day music festival has become a popular stopover on the “grey nomad” circuit, and it looks like this year’s 13th annual muster is going to be bigger and better than ever.<\/p>\n

The muster was officially opened by South Burnett bush balladeer and Golden Guitar winner Dean Perrett on Friday.<\/p>\n

Compere Barry Williams – back for his 12th Muster – said he always looked forward to Nanango Muster as it was one of the best in Australia.<\/p>\n

The Muster will continue all day Saturday until late, and until noon on Sunday.<\/p>\n

As well as country music and bush ballads, there’ll be bush poetry and Gospel music.<\/p>\n

Artists on stage will include Glenn Jones,\u00a0Graham Rodger and the Lindsay Waddington Band.<\/p>\n

A popular part of the Muster is the artists’ tent where fans can meet the singers and buy autographed copies of their CDs.<\/p>\n
