There was enough blood sloshing around inside the Kumbia Memorial Hall on Saturday night to keep even the thirstiest vampire feeling satisfied.<\/p>\n

The 22nd annual Kumbia Brain Drain had plenty of brains, as well as blood and bones, on display in keeping with the theme of “Nightmare on Bell Street”.<\/p>\n

The wacky trivia night is a major fundraiser for the Kumbia State School P&C and regularly attracts patrons from as far away as Brisbane.<\/p>\n

More than 200 people packed the hall, competing for prizes for each round of trivia as well as for their ghoulish costumes.<\/p>\n

Compere Damien Martoo was the quizmaster who kept everyone in\u00a0line by wielding a chainsaw …<\/p>\n

Creepy footnote:\u00a0Wes Craven, director of the original “Nightmare On Elm Street” movies, died on Sunday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n
