Entries are starting to roll in for Nimu\u00e9\u00a0Gallery’s unusual Motors in Motion\u00a0art competition.<\/p>\n

The competition, which is being run in conjunction with the upcoming Motors In Motion<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 festival in Kingaroy, must reflect the theme “Any Motor In Motion”.<\/p>\n

This can be interpreted in many ways … and it’s all up to the imagination of the artist! Everything from witches’ brooms and rocket ships to tractors (a popular theme in the South Burnett recently).<\/p>\n

Gallery owner\u00a0Cherry Carroll<\/strong>\u00a0said\u00a0entries can be in any medium but must not exceed one metre square.<\/p>\n

They must be delivered to the Nimu\u00e9\u00a0Gallery in King Street, Kingaroy, before the end of this week.<\/p>\n

Cherry will then hang the entries at the gallery during October so people can drop in and vote for their favourite.<\/p>\n

All judging will be done by people\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n

On October 26, the entries will be shifted to a hangar at Kingaroy Airport so they can be on display during the big Motors In Motion day on Saturday, October 27.<\/p>\n

Votes for the winning entries can also be submitted all day at the Festival.<\/p>\n

Judging will be in two categories: adult and children. Winners will be notified after the festival.<\/p>\n

There’s a small $8 entry fee for the adult section (which will be donated to charity) but children’s entries are free. \u00a0Cash prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner-up in each category.<\/p>\n
