Jayde, 16 …. missing since August 14<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and will be charged with murder following the discovery on Thursday of the body of missing Gatton teenager Jayde Kendall.<\/p>\n

Jayde’s body was located at Upper Tenthill, 14km south of Gatton, on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

Detective Acting Inspector Matt Howard said the body was found after police appealed for local residents to check their properties for anything out of place.<\/p>\n

“As a result, a member of the community contacted CrimeStoppers and led us to this area where we conducted a search and located the body,” he said.<\/p>\n

He said an 18-year-old man who had been a person of interest during the investigation had been arrested and a murder charge would be laid.<\/p>\n

Jayde, 16, was last seen on Friday, August 14, at Highview Avenue, Gatton, about 3:15pm.<\/p>\n

Police will allege she was picked up from high school by the man now in custody.<\/p>\n

Her bank account was accessed at an ATM on Railway Street, Gatton, at 5:45pm and 5:47pm on the same day.<\/p>\n
