{"id":118377,"date":"2015-08-24T16:15:18","date_gmt":"2015-08-24T06:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=118377"},"modified":"2020-11-18T14:44:10","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T04:44:10","slug":"measles-alert-in-toowoomba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2015\/08\/24\/measles-alert-in-toowoomba\/","title":{"rendered":"Measles Alert In Toowoomba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>August 24, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service says there has been a confirmed case of measles in Toowoomba.<\/p>\n<p>A person with measles attended the Spotted Cow Hotel on the evening of August 15, and the Sizzlers Restaurant from 8:30am to 10:30am on August 16.<\/p>\n<p>The person was in the infectious period of their disease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Public Health Unit is asking people who attended either of these venues at these times to watch out for symptoms of measles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who may have been exposed to the virus should ensure their vaccinations are up-to-date and should seek medical advice immediately if any symptoms arise.      <\/p>\n<p>The symptoms of measles include a non-itchy rash which usually begins on the face or neck, fever and cold-like symptoms including a dry cough, stuffy nose or conjunctivitis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service says there has been a confirmed case of measles in Toowoomba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":285960,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[172,3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
