Member for Flynn Ken O’Dowd wants to know how fast the broadband is in the South Burnett so he can help the Coalition find which regional areas are most in need of upgrades.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are many areas in Flynn which have poor broadband,\u201d Mr O\u2019Dowd said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NBN is taking too long to be rolled out and costs too much. But on top of that, it is not prioritising the areas with the worst broadband today.\u201d<\/p>\n

He is asking residents to fill in an online survey<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mr O\u2019Dowd said the Coalition was committed to upgrading broadband sooner, cheaper and more affordably for consumers.<\/p>\n

He said the Coalition\u2019s plan for better broadband would encourage competition among infrastructure providers “rather than stamp it out”. <\/p>\n

“It will see existing infrastructure used where possible and will use a mix of technologies, meaning broadband speeds will be upgraded much sooner and at less cost to taxpayers,” he said.<\/p>\n

“And using the results of this survey, the Coalition will prioritise the areas with the worst broadband in Flynn so that they don\u2019t have to wait another decade for Labor to deliver on its promises.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
