A football jersey signed by Queensland State of Origin rugby league superstar Johnathan Thurston will be handed over to its lucky new owner at the Mayor\u2019s Community Charity Breakfast on Friday (August 21).<\/p>\n

South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said the framed Maroons jersey, which was signed by Thurston and includes a personal message, was one of the most sought-after items during the auction at the Mayor\u2019s Gala Ball in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe jersey had the highest amount of bidders battling it out,\u201d Mayor Kratzmann said.<\/p>\n

The lucky winner was Kathy Driver, who donated $2450 for the honour of owning Thurston\u2019s coveted 2015 State of Origin jersey.<\/p>\n

The Maroons’ star signed the jersey after the Queenslanders\u2019 historic State Of Origin win earlier this year, and donated it to help raise money for the South Burnett community.<\/p>\n
