Flashback: Sue Lambert and Rajesh Singh with pottery tutor Fay Stumm at Kingaroy Library last June; this Wednesday and Thursday the library will be hosting two special events for Seniors Week<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

August 18, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingaroy Library is inviting local children to bring their grandparents or other special elderly people in their lives to this week’s Storytime as part of Seniors Week.<\/p>\n

The story session, which will run at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 19 will include rhymes and be followed by craft.<\/p>\n

Naturally, mums and dads are welcome too!<\/p>\n

And on Thursday, August 20 Kingaroy bush poet Carol Hutcheson and cartoonist\/artist Tony Turton join forces to entertain South Burnett seniors at the library.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carol will recite bush poetry while Tony will create quick sketches.<\/p>\n

Both artists are senior citizens themselves, who remain active in their chosen fields.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s event also begins at 10:00am and will be followed by a light morning tea.<\/p>\n

To help plan catering, RSVPs to (07) 4189-9256 would be appreciated, but are not essential.<\/p>\n

Both events are free and suitable for all ages.<\/p>\n
