Kingaroy police are trying to locate the driver of a silver Ford Falcon Ghia sedan which ran off the D’Aguilar Highway early on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The vehicle appears to have lost control while heading south along the highway near Bellbird Road, at Coolabunia, and slammed into a deep ditch on the side of the road, crashing into a tree.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred between 6:00am and 6:30am.<\/p>\n

The driver \/ passengers then abandoned the vehicle.<\/p>\n

It is not believed to be stolen.<\/p>\n

Anyone with any information about the vehicle, or who may have witnessed the crash, are asked to contact Kingaroy Police on (07) 4160-4900 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.<\/p>\n

The sedan suffered significant damage but it appears the driver must have escaped serious injury<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A boy who suffered a suspected spinal injury during a game of football on Saturday has been airlifted to hospital.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter picked up the injured teenager on Saturday evening and flew him to Bundaberg Base Hospital where he will undergo further tests.<\/p>\n

An RACQ CareFlight spokesperson said he travelled in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

No further information is available.<\/p>\n

A car exhaust has been blamed for starting a grass fire which spread quickly near Kingaroy on Friday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Urban and rural firefighters attended about 4:30pm and extinguished the blaze.<\/p>\n

Nanango Police are investigating a break and enter which occurred on Thursday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Someone broke into a house undergoing renovations and stole building tools.<\/p>\n
