Rebecca Clapperton, from Nanango, and Hannah Vicar, from Mundubbera, were awarded RNA Rural Scholarships at the Ekka this week.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington caught up with Rebecca and Hannah at the President’s Reception at the RNA on Tuesday evening where the presentations were made.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was wonderful to see our local girls achieve these highly competitive RNA Rural Scholarships,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir scholarships are valued at $2000 each and will assist them with their university studies.<\/p>\n

“Rebecca is at UNE in Armidale and she explained that her interests lie in the beef industry. Hannah is at Gatton and is interested in a career in rural financial counselling.<\/p>\n
