Bendigo Bank branches in Nanango, Yarraman and Blackbutt are taking part in “Chopper Awareness Month” to help raise funds to buy more medical kits for RACQ CareFlight Rescue.<\/p>\n

The branches will be holding various events to raise funds so that CareFlight can get more cardiac kits, trauma kits and blood transfusion kits for their helicopters.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing equipped with the most reliable and up-to-date medical kits ensures CareFlight\u2019s crews have the best possible tools to provide critical care to seriously ill or injured patients on a daily basis, regardless of the location,\u201d Flight Intensive Care Paramedic Brad Solomon said.<\/p>\n

The first Chopper Awareness Month was held eight years ago. Since then, the annual event has raised more than $200,000 for the community helicopter service.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event is set to be the biggest yet, with 93 Bendigo Bank branches involved across Queensland.<\/p>\n

As an added incentive, each branch will be competing to win prizes, including highest fundraising branch and highest individual fundraiser.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
