Nanango State School has won a 2015 Showcase Award for Excellence, competing against schools from all over the Darling Downs and south-west Queensland.<\/p>\n

Education Minister Kate Jones announced today that Nanango, Murphy\u2019s Creek and Newton State schools, and Warwick and Clifton State high schools had won awards for a range of innovative projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cI congratulate these five award winners for their significant contribution to education in local communities of the Darling Downs South West region,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Nanango State School won the “Network Ten Showcase Award for Excellence in the Early and Primary Years” for “Building A Champion School”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ms Jones said the regional selection team had praised the five schools for improving student outcomes through a sustainable and inclusive approach which could be used in other schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese awards provide another important opportunity to share best practice as we celebrate the outstanding quality of Queensland\u2019s state schools,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Each regional winner will receive a $1000 development grant which will further boost efforts to improve student learning outcomes.<\/p>\n
