The audience at Murgon Town Hall on Thursday night for the official premiere of the “Beyond Barambah” short film has given it a big thumbs up.<\/p>\n

The video features students and teachers from the “Barambah Cluster” of State schools: Cherbourg, Cloyna, Goomeri, Moffatdale, Murgon, Wheatlands and Windera State schools, Murgon State High School and Proston P-10.<\/p>\n

It was made by country singer Josh Arnold and supported by sponsorship from the University of Southern Queensland.<\/p>\n

Murgon Town Hall was packed for the launch. The audience waited patiently, listening to various speakers, before the big moment when the lights were switched off.<\/p>\n

When the film finished, there was a spontaneous round of applause.<\/p>\n

Josh said he was felt honoured to have been given the opportunity to make the film.<\/p>\n

“It was really daunting. A challenge how to represent nine schools,” he said.<\/p>\n

He thanked the students for “opening their hearts” to him when he visited their schools.<\/p>\n

He also thanked the principals, teachers, USQ and his “great documentary team” for making the documentary possible.<\/p>\n
