The annual Mini Mod rugby league carnival will be on again this Saturday at Wondai.<\/p>\n

The event attracts scores of junior teams from across the Wide Bay region in U7s, U8s, U10s and U12s.<\/p>\n

This year visiting teams include Wallaroos, Burrum Heads, Hervey Bay, Gympie, Maryborough.<\/p>\n

Local teams taking part will come from Cherbourg, Murgon, Wondai, Kingaroy, Nanango and the Central Burnett Brumbies.<\/p>\n

Mini Mod is an introductory form of rugby league, with modified rules, which emphasises skill development and having fun.<\/p>\n

The carnival is the brainchild of the Wondai Proston JRL and usually attracts more than 500 junior players \u2013 and their supporters \u2013 to Wondai every year.<\/p>\n

All games are played with a quick turn-around which gives spectators constant footy action across three fields.<\/p>\n
