July 16, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

A seriously injured man was winched from the scene of a woodcutting accident near Mungy, east of Eidsvold, this morning.<\/p>\n

An RACQ CareFlight spokesman said it is believed the 25-year-old man was felling trees when he was forced backwards, lost his footing, and fell about 4 metres over a cliff.<\/p>\n

He suffered multiple injuries as a result.<\/p>\n

CareFlight\u2019s Bundaberg-based helicopter was despatched to the scene just before 8:30am, and arrived shortly after.<\/p>\n

Due to steep, heavily forested terrain around the accident site, the CareFlight crew were forced to land at a nearby clearing where they were met by a second woodcutter who drove the flight paramedic to the injured man.<\/p>\n

After being stabilised, the patient was winched into the helicopter.<\/p>\n

The man was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
