A South Burnett woman has pocketed $100,000 after scratching a $5 instant Scratch-It from\u00a0the Murgon Newsagency.<\/p>\n

Newsagency owner John Robinson said the woman bought the $5 crossword Scratch-It and took it home.<\/p>\n

“She was back within an hour,” John said.<\/p>\n

“She thought she had won $10,000.”<\/p>\n

However, when shop assistant Candice Sippel checked the scratchie, she realised it was a $100,000 win.<\/p>\n

The woman bought the Scratch-it about 11 days ago, but the win had to be confirmed by the Golden Casket office, and this only happened earlier this week.<\/p>\n

This is the biggest win that the Murgon Newsagency has sold for a while, but it is not the biggest win ever.<\/p>\n

“Our largest Scratch-it win was $250,000 but that was some time ago,” John said.<\/p>\n
