The Wondai Heritage Museum has a special exhibit on display at the moment: a magnificent model of the HMS Endeavour, the barque which brought Captain James Cook to the east coast of Australia in 1770.<\/p>\n

The intricate model was built by former museum volunteer Craig Nicholson and took two years to put together.<\/p>\n

Sadly Craig, 84, died last year.<\/p>\n

His family has now loaned his model to the museum so the public can enjoy Craig’s labour of love.<\/p>\n

The Wondai Heritage Museum is open Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. \u00a0Entry free is $2.<\/p>\n
