The South Burnett Private Hospital is now officially closed but Mayor Wayne Kratzmann still hopes a new operator can be found<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

June 30, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Private Hospital closed it doors for the last time as a Pulse Health-run facility on Tuesday afternoon, but South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann still hopes it won’t be forever.<\/p>\n

He said there had been a breakthrough in the last few days over licensing for any potential new operator, with Pulse Health agreeing it would transfer over its existing licence.<\/p>\n

This means a new operator would not have to seek licensing for the facility from scratch.<\/p>\n

Mayor Kratzmann said there would be someone behind the Reception Desk in the hospital building tomorrow, and they would stay there until something definite was known.<\/p>\n

He said he had been making telephone calls, and receiving calls, almost hourly in regards to the hospital but he would not know anything definitely about a new operator for at least a few days.<\/p>\n
