Queensland’s “State of Origin” game against NSW in Round 3 of the 15 & Under School Sport Australia Cricket Championships in Darwin went the same way as this week’s iconic league game … with a loss to Queensland.<\/p>\n

Queensland batted first on Tuesday and made 103.<\/p>\n

Murgon cricketer Jared Sippel, coming in at sixth spot, top-scored with 37 not out –\u00a0 including five boundaries and a six – against a strong bowling line-up.<\/p>\n

NSW passed the target in the 31st over for the loss of just two wickets.<\/p>\n

However, Jared had a hand in the wickets, too – taking a catch to dismiss opener Jack Edwards for 14.<\/p>\n

The Queensland schoolboys will now face the undefeated Victoria in a semi-final to be played on Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
