Sunday is D-Day for Kingaroy cyclist Josie Potter … a 50km challenge to complete her fifth Brissie to the Bay Ride to raise funds for MS Queensland.<\/p>\n

Josie has been busy training for the ride, and also raising money alongside other members of her “Kingaroy Cruisers” team.<\/p>\n

So far there are 32 people nominated in the team, but the Cruisers are open to take on more members – anyone willing to cycle 10km, 25km, 50km or 100km in Brisbane on Sunday (June 21). Nominations can be taken on the day.<\/p>\n

In 2011, Josie rode the 10km route, in 2012 it was 25km, and in 2013 she made 50km.<\/p>\n

In 2014, she suffered a stroke and it looked most unlikely that she could ride, but she showed enormous courage to complete the 25km course.<\/p>\n

This year, she\u2019s had a lot more training and has nominated for the 50km course.<\/p>\n

Josie said she wanted to thank the community for supporting her in her fund-raising efforts, especially during her recent raffle (see below).<\/p>\n

Left of Centre Quilting donated the first prize in the raffle and quilted three of the quilts.\u00a0Other raffle prizes were donated by Lois Vreeken, Tracey Krogh, Kathleen Vale, Aileen Langan, Lorraine Woltmann and Helen Coppard.<\/p>\n

“Your generosity and support are amazing,” Josie said.<\/p>\n
