June 9, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 30-year-old Kingaroy man was flown to the PA Hospital in Brisbane with head injuries and suspected fractures, internal and spinal injuries after a single-vehicle crash at Wattle Camp.<\/p>\n

The crash, on McNicholl Road, occurred about 7:30pm on June 3.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and went head-first through the windscreen when the Ford Falcon sedan ran off the road, through a fence and hit a large timber fence-post and a tree.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old male passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered some head and neck pain but declined medical assistance from the QAS.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said local residents heard a vehicle being driven at speed and then a large crash.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was heading north on McNicholl Road, between Brocklehurst and McGuire roads, when it veered off the bitumen.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said specimens of blood had been taken from the driver to determine if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n

A clearly marked police vehicle with a speed camera on board detected 102 vehicles speeding in Kingaroy in just 12 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vehicle was parked between town and Swickers on Haly Street East on May 28, checking the speed of both inbound and outbound vehicles.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said some of the vehicles were clocked at 20km\/h or more over the 60km\/h speed limit.<\/p>\n

A 25-year-old Gympie man surrendered himself to Kingaroy police last Thursday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in Gympie Court.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A driver was allegedly more than three times over the limit when breath-tested by police about 9:00pm last Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police pulled the 59-year-old man over in Doonkuna Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

He allegedly had a BAC of 0.176.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police searched a vehicle in River Road, Kingaroy, on Monday afternoon and allegedly located a small quantity of prescription medicine in the vehicle which the driver was not authorised to have in his possession<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A 29-year-old Kingaroy man has been issued with a notice to appear in court on a charge of possessing dangerous drugs.<\/p>\n

At 2:00pm on Friday, police located a wanted man in the Kingaroy CBD. <\/strong><\/p>\n
